Day 2: Wheelton to Skipton
Distance: 49 Miles
Time:
It rained in the night. It got windy through the night. It rained in the morning. We set off at 07:30 in the drizzle, but luckily it didn't last and before long it was back to short sleeved tops again. We made it to the half way marker at 09:30 with a quick break after Church...
and then onto lunch at the Fouldridge cafe:
We then made our way to Skipton, but unfortunately never made it in time for the clog festival...
I have to say, Niffany Farm is a great place to camp. The showers are excellent and there is an out building that has a pool table and dart board. You can also freeze your freezer packs for free if you have them.

Day 3: Skipton to Leeds
Distance: 30 Miles
Time:
Another drizzled start to the morning, but again this didn't last long before turning out to be the hottest day of the ride. We set of at 09:15 and cycled into Skipton town center for some breakfast before our final stint to Leeds.
Another stop for much needed food at the Bingley Five Rise locks:
Jam and cream scones.... mmmmmm |
